The 1996-97 NBA season was the Kings' 48th season in the NBA and 12th in Sacramento.〔(1996-97 Sacramento Kings )〕 Coming off their first playoff appearance in ten years in expectation in Sacramento was high. However, injures and a tough early-season schedule would clobber the Kings as they won just eight of their first 25 games. THe KIngs would rebound to get back in playoff contention with a 28-32 record. However, the wheels would fall off as the Kings lost seven consecutive games in March. Head coach Garry St. Jean was fired, and was replaced by assistant coach Eddie Jordan, who would coach Sacramento for the rest of the season, and all of next year. The Kings finished sixth in the Pacific Division with a 34-48 record, missing the playoffs by just two games.〔http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nba/sacramento/sackings.html〕 Mitch Richmond led them with 25.9 points, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game and was selected for the 1997 NBA All-Star Game. ==Draft picks== (詳細はウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「1996–97 Sacramento Kings season」の詳細全文を読む
